Mixed signals on Panama Canal security, neutrality
This long-form, in-depth report on the geo-political tensions in Panama was the result of three months of research and one week on the ground conducting interviews in Panama City.
More than 1,100 alley gates installed in Phoenix
This story had been covered in local news before, but I wanted to go further into detail about why different residents were pushing for their alleys to be gated off, and to make sure residents knew what the requirements were.
Smoke shop owner weighs in on AG crackdown
Attorney General Kris Mayes sued four smoke shops for selling to minors, and she’s seeking an injunction to completely put the shops out of business. During her press conference, Mayes said the industry is intentionally targeting to children. Live Radio Report
When you work for a large company, you sometimes get calls to do reports for other stations. Such was the case here where KFBK News Radio in Sacramento asked if I could do a live report on Hurricane Kay. I did not know what questions the hosts would ask me, I just reported what was happening as I stood outside in the wind and rain next to the San Diego River.
Radio Feature Report
This was one of those fun stories that I got to spend a little extra time on, and it paid off. This piece won the Golden Mike Award for Best Radio Feature Report.
Radio Newscast – Top of the Hour with Weather
This is an example of how I anchor the top of the hour newscasts for radio, with a mix of local and national news, plus money/stock reports and weather.
